Drawing on his experience in counselling, spiritual care, and pastoral ministry, Greg brings a unique perspective shaped by years of supporting individuals and families through some of life's most difficult seasons. His work in hospitals, long-term care, and palliative care has given him a deep appreciation for the importance of listening well, caring for the whole person, and walking alongside people with empathy and respect.
Greg believes therapy is a collaborative process where you are the expert in your own life. His role is to help guide and support you as you explore your strengths, better understand the challenges you are facing, and develop practical tools for meaningful change. He works alongside clients at a pace that feels comfortable, creating a counselling relationship built on trust, respect, and genuine care.
Greg has particular experience supporting clients through grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, family dynamics, and questions of meaning and identity. He also has extensive experience supporting individuals and families facing serious illness, palliative care, and end-of-life concerns.
Greg works with individuals, couples, and families, helping clients improve communication, strengthen relationships, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
Greg tailors counselling to each client's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and grief-informed counselling.
Greg welcomes clients from all backgrounds. For those who wish to explore the role of Christian faith in counselling, he is experienced in thoughtfully integrating faith into the therapeutic process while providing respectful, client-centred care.
Greg holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry, a Graduate Diploma in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy, and undergraduate degrees in both Pastoral Ministry and Counselling Studies. He currently serves as Leader of Spiritual Care Services at Mount St. Mary Hospital in Victoria, where he supports residents, families, staff, and interdisciplinary care teams. His previous experience includes hospital chaplaincy, long-term care, pastoral ministry, and community counselling.
Outside of counselling, Greg enjoys sailing, fishing, reading, travelling, video games, and spending time with his family. These interests help him stay grounded and bring balance to both his personal life and his work as a counsellor.
I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you as we work together toward your goals. ~ Greg
